ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
A
large number of the photos on this site were contributed by a few industrious
people. This is to thank Lester, Diane, Sam, Jackie, and others for their
contributions. Lester informs us that many of the large photos that
appeared in our yearbooks, in Knightlife, and other publications, and which show
up on this site, were taken by
Airman First Class Carl Leach, a good friend of Lester's who worked in the base photo
lab. Carl's picture appears below:

¡Muchas
Gracias Carl!

If your computer has the capability, you can listen to oldies while you cruise
memories of your years at MHS. Below, at the Central Oklahoma 55-57 Chevy
Club site, you will find an easy-to-use live streaming site (no long downloads
necessary) where you can bring up 50's and 60's oldies to accompany your
nostalgic trip through these pages.

If you use AOL, version 7.0, and possibly earlier versions, have built-in live
streaming audio/video capabilities. All you have to do is click on the
music title and AOL should do the rest. For those of you who do not yet
have this capability, go the RealPlayer site listed below and see if you can
download their live streaming application. Enjoy yourselves!!
"The
Viet Nam Era" - Music from the Viet Nam era - It contains rock 'n roll
music from the 50's through to the 70's. Huge playlist and easy to use.
Central
Oklahoma 55 - 57 Chevy Club - Terrific collection of Rock 'n Roll Oldies - Doo
Wop, 50's Cruisin' music, etc. It used to have the originals of the titles
but most of them have been converted to synthesizer-type music - still pleasant
enough.
This hasn't been checked out thoroughly but it appears to
have a lot of good oldies. The site changed its format to radio
stations. You have to download a player.

we were listening to -- April 1962 -- AFRS Weekly Guide courtesy of Lester.

Send
us any links you have to your favorite oldies sites at this email
address.
If you don't have RealPlayer on your computer, click here to go to CNET's
RealPlayer download site. AOL 7.0 users should have AOL Media Player
already installed. RealPlayer and AOL Media Player plays live streaming
music - i.e., you don't have to download the music files to hear the
music. With a computer made within the last few years, you should be able
to access the music listed on the above sites easily.

the icon to go to RealPlayer's website to download RealPlayer for free.
Note - You should read the FAQ's before downloading.
